Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When was The Marketing Alliance incorporated?
A: TMA was incorporated
in 1996 to meet the needs of independent brokerage agencies.
Q: How has TMA grown since their founding?
A:
Originally started
by 22 distributors who were members of Sub Centers, Inc., a study/marketing
group who shared ideas, successes and failures, TMA has now grown to encompass
more than 140 agencies throughout the United States .
Q: What makes The Marketing Alliance model different?
A:
For
many years, the insurance industry has been changing. Policies can now be purchased
over the internet, and consolidation has created fewer, but more competitive
agencies. All of which has led to consumer confusion and frustration. TMA provides
agents with the tools to compete, and the resources to work together while
remaining independent and profitable in their own marketplace.
Q: What resources come with TMA membership?
A:
The Marketing Alliance
provides extensive back-office support including a Medical Director and underwriting
staff, a broad offering of sales products from well know carriers, technology
based customer service, end-consumer support from quote through policy delivery
and fully licensed independent general agents providing help and expertise
through face-to-face meetings.
Q: What is the nature of the increased activity for The Marketing
Alliance lately?
A:
While the Alliances’ sales are made by independent
agencies, it is important that we register and build The Marketing Alliance
brand name to the point that it is sought out by potential buyers. At that
time the real value of a nationally distributed, mutually focused group of
more than 140 distributors, offering a broad spectrum of products from large,
well known carriers can offer expanded resources and truly impact customers.
